The company's charitable giving program gives thousands of dollars to support community wellness to hospice palliative care initiatives, non-profit long-term care facilities and other health and social services charitable organizations.
Our staff Social Committee annually gives thousands of dollars in employee payroll contributions, in-kind donations and volunteer hours to dozens of charitable causes.
We provide medication services to support programs delivered by charitable organizations that help the needy. We take the time to educate and upgrade their staff on selected drug topics and patient monitoring. Through our sister company, MediLink Community Health Services, we also place pharmacists in community health centres to further help vulnerable and at-risk individuals.
Our clinical staff lecture in the University of Toronto's Undergraduate Pharmacy program and Mohawk College's Pharmacy Technician program, reaching students from across Ontario.
Our pharmacy staff are advisors on multi-disciplinary boards and committees in southern Ontario, including palliative care committees and pharmacy advocacy groups. We also accompany clinical staff on rounds at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton.
